Acer Spin is the new series of convertible notebooks

Acer Spin is a new series of convertible notebook PCs from the Taiwanese electronics giant. Four  models (Spin 7, Spin 5 and Spin 3, Spin 1) are announced at IFA2016, happening at Berlin, Germany. All three models come with 360-degree hinges along with Continuum that will let users use these in various ways (laptop mode, display mode, tent mode etc). Acer Spin 7, Spin 5, Spin 3 and Spin 1 will be available from October with starting price of $1999, $599, $499 and $249 respectively. All models will be available cross the globe before end of the year.

Acer Spin 7 comes with a 14” FullHD touchscreen display (in a 13” form factor) protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by 7th Generation Intel® Core i7 processor, Spin 7 can have up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and offers up to 8 hours of battery life. Spin 7 weighs 1.2 kilograms and is just 10.98mm thin. Other features include USB Type-C port, wide glass touchpad.

Acer Spin 5 comes with a 13.3” FullHD touchscreen display (in a 13” form factor) that can be used with Acer Active Pen with Windows Ink and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by 7th Generation Intel® Core i7 processor, Spin 7 can have up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD and offers up to 10 hours of battery life.

Acer Spin 3 comes with a 15.6” 720p or FullHD display. Powered by 6th Generation Intel® Core processor, Spin 7 can have up to 12GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD and offers up to 9.5 hours of battery life. Spin 3 has support for dual storage so users can hook up two hard drives. The keyboard is backlit with 1.6mm keystoke.

Acer Spin 1 is budget convertible with 13” or 11.6” FullHD display. Powered by Intel® Pentium® or Celeron® processors, Spin 1 is ideal for students and classrooms. The touch screen display supports Acer Active Pen with Windows Ink (helps a lot in taking quick notes).
