ACT Giga – The 1000 Mbps Internet connection, is now available in Bangalore

Gone are the days where you had to wait for hours to download any content from the Internet. Today streaming 4K content has become a comfortable choice for many. Mobile or Computer, Internet speed available across the country has spiked up in the last 1 year. Personally, I have tried almost every single Internet service provider in Bangalore and finally, I have settled in comfortably with the ACT. ACT Fibernet has revolutionized broadband speeds and has singled handedly forced other players to reduce cost and increase speed. While that is happening slowly and steadily, ACT went ahead and launched  ACT Giga – 1 Gbps speed Internet connections in Bangalore.

The Giga speed connection is already available for consumers in Hyderabad. Bengaluru is the second city to get it and it will eventually be rolled out to other cities soon. At a grand event in Bengaluru, Shri. Priyank Kharge, Minister of IT, Bio-Technology, Science & Technology and Tourism, Government of Karnataka, launched the Giga speed connection. The ACT Giga plan will bring speeds of about 1000 Mbps for both download and upload streams. It will cost Rs 5999 exclusive of taxes, per month.

The ACT Giga plan will provide 1 Gbps speed with 1250 GB FUP for upload and download. There are a few offers for customers who pay 6 months or 12 months at a shot. Installation cost for new customers will be Rs 5000 and existing ACT customers can upgrade at a cost of Rs 2500.  For Small and Medium Enterprises, ACT SME Giga plan is priced at Rs 15000 and it comes along with its set of benefits for business houses.

Speaking on the launch Bala Malladi, CEO, Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd said, “With the success of 1Gbps in Hyderabad, I am extremely happy to extend our services to Bengaluru. Known as the tech capital of India, we realized the city needs cutting edge/ futuristic internet technology to accelerate its development. We, therefore, ramped up our network with Giga technology and will now provide full coverage for individual home and corporate organization. I am confident that as we keep introducing such advanced technology across cities we will soon witness a societal transformation.”

Speaking at the launch, Honourable Minister Shri. Priyank Kharge, Minister of IT, Bio-Technology, Science & Technology and Tourism, Government of Karnataka said, “Bengaluru has been announced as the city that is most adaptable to digital change and has always been in the forefront of technology and innovation. It is a matter of pride that ACT Fibernet being a Bengaluru founded startup, has become a pioneer in India to introduce 1 Gbps broadband connectivity in the country and by launching this in Bengaluru today, it would only further enable us to digitize the entire city and supplement the Government of Karnataka’s Vision along with India’s vision to be a leader in the digital economy. With the launch of 1 Gbps Internet in the technology capital of India, it further strengthens Bengaluru’s position as a true Global City. I wish the very best to ACT Fibernet and I’m sure they will play a very important role in the Internet industry of India.”

I am planning to upgrade my current ACT Lightning plan to ACT Giga. At the event, we experienced the real speed of 1 Gbps and I realized that it will redefine the way we use the Internet. ACT is set to unfold yet another revolution in Internet speeds and 2018 will be an interesting year for sure.
