All hail the new AiO king, the iMac 27 with 5k display

Apple iMac is without a doubt, the best All-in-One desktop that you can get in the market. Today, this gorgeous new mac has received a makeover and its a massive one. The design remains the same but the display is now retina display with mindblowing 5K resolution (5120 x 2880 pixel resolution). To drive the 5K resolution display, processor is upgraded to latest Intel Quad core core-i5 and GPU is upgraded to AMD Radeon R9 M290X. Priced at $2499, the new iMac is available starting today in USA.

When compared to outgoing iMac, the retina iMac has four times more pixels, the display panel is oxide TFT based, giving excellent contrast and brightness and yet, it uses 30% less power. Thanks to a new photo alignment process and a compensation film, the new iMac delivery deeper blacks and more vibrant colors with a superb viewing angle.

“Thirty years after the first Mac changed the world, the new iMac with Retina 5K display running OS X Yosemite is the most insanely great Mac we have ever made,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With a breathtaking 14.7 million pixel display, faster CPU and graphics, Fusion Drive, and Thunderbolt 2, it’s the most beautiful and powerful iMac ever.”
