Android november distro share : KitKat rising, JellyBean stays at the top
Android developers site has renewed the Android platform distribution numbers and KitKat now has 30.2% marketshare but JellyBean, with 50.9% of marketshare still hold massive chunk of share. Its a good sign though that 4.x variants (ICS + JB+ KK) hold nearly 90% of share.
OpenGL 2.0 is holding 2/3rds of marketshare while OpenGL 3.0 has 25.3% or marketshare. Coming to display sizes, hdpi (240 dpi)+ Normal screen size (3.5″ to 4.5″) has 36.6% of marketshare followed by xhdpi (480dpi) + normal display. This shows that more and more buyers are opting for displays with high resolution and pixel density.
