Asus Pegasus X002 costs $128, comes with a 5-inch HD display

Asus has announced the Pegasus X002, an affordable yet well-specced smartphone. The company launched the device in China, competing mainly with Xiaomi Redmi 1S.

Asus Pegasus X002

The Asus Pegasus X002 comes with a 5 inch HD display, a 64 bit quad-core Mediatek processor and 2 GB RAM.

  • Android 4.4 KitKat with Zen UI on top
  • 5” LCD display, HD resolution, 1280×720 pixels, ~294 PPI
  • 1.5 GHz quad core Mediatek MT6732 processor, 64-bit
  • 8 MP camera, LED flash, ultra-picture mode for 30 MP photos; front facing 5 MP camera
  • 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card
  • LTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth
  • 2500 mAh battery
  • $128

The specs-to-price ratio is amazing here – you get a 4G LTE smartphone with a HD display and 2 GB RAM and an 8 MP camera for $128. Sadly, so far, there is no information about its wider availability – the Pegasus X002 is currently only available in China. Hopefully Asus brings it to other markets, too.
