ASUS VivoPC X compact gaming PC announced [CES 2017]

ASUS VivoPC X is the new powerful gaming desktop, aimed at gamers. Powered by 7th Generation Intel Core i5 chips, the VivoPC X has a Nvidia GTX1060 GPU for heavy gaming. The best feature of the ASUS VivoPC X is that the chassis size is just 5 litres, which is smaller than the Xbox One. The ASUS VivoPC X is announced at CES 2017 and those attending the event can take a closer look. Priced at $800 (starting), the VivoPC X will be available for sale from the month of March 2017.

ASUS VivoPC X Key Specification

  • Nvidia GTX1060 GPU
  • 8GB of DDR4 memory
  • Up to 2TG HDD combined with 512b M.2 SSD
  • Ports : 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, 2x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort
  • Chassis is only 5 litres in size

It will be interesting to see how many will go for a gaming desktop in 2017. ASUS VivoPC X is no doubt a classy product that does not take much space and can be tucked away in some corner. But the price tag of 800$ on a product that has barely any upgradeability left can make many turn away. And for a casual gamer, an Xbox One or Playstation 4 are available for lower price.
