ASUS ZenFone 3s Max : How to restrict amount of data used per month

Cellular data is at a premium these days, unless you are using Reliance Jio network. Setting up warning and cut off when your monthly data quota is neared is essential to have. Go to Settings, click on ‘Data usage’.

Click on ‘Billing cycle’.

Click on ‘Data warning’. The value that you enter here is to make the device to notify you when you cross the value. Set data usage warning level between 75% and 85% of your data quota so that you get to know in advance when you are nearing data limit.

Click on ‘Data limit’. Enter what the monthly data quota will be for your phone. Once your phone reaches the limit, mobile data will be disabled.

Do note that if you are using Reliance Jio, this will also mean that your phone will not be able to even make or receive phone calls.


Set the start day of billing cycle. Not every one has cycle that starts on 1st of every month. Click on ‘Billing cycle’ and select on the day of the month.
