Intex Aqua AMOLED launched for Rs. 4540 in India

Intex, an Indian OEM, has launched a new budget Android smartphone in the Indian market. The new phone, called the Aqua AMOLED, comes with a 4 inch 360p AMOLED display. This is probably the only only redeeming factor for the phone, and considering the resolution, it may not even be as important as it seems.

The Aqua AMOLED comes with a 4 inch display with a paltry resolution of 360×640 pixels, at a pixel density of ~184 PPI. There’s 512 MB RAM, expandable 4 GB internal storage and the phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. There is a dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor inside the Aqua AMOLED, which should hopefully keep things usable. There is a 5 MP camera on the back with an LED flash and a VGA camera on the front.

The Intex Aqua AMOLED comes with dual SIM support, 3G and a 1400 mAh battery.

The Intex Aqua AMOLED is currently available at a price of Rs. 4690 on Rediff Shopping, which is an odd website to sell a phone at. While we don’t yet know if the phone will see its availability expanded to other stores, Intex has revealed a best buy price of Rs. 4540.
