Google announce new online store to sell devices/accessories

We have wondered why there is a devices section in Google’s Play Store which is meant for digital purchases. Given the number of devices that Google sells online, a separate site is deserved. Today, Google has announced a new website for Chrome/Android devices. The new website store.google.com can be used to shop Nexus devices, Chromecast, Chromebooks. You can also use the store to get more information and update on Android Wear tech/devices, Nexus Player, Nest and also purchase accessories like cases, keyboards and chargers. In short, Google’s new hardware store will provide every thing you need to know about Android/Chrome devices and help you purchase devices and accessories for your Android/chrome devices. As a launch offer, Google will offer free shipping for all the products sold at Google Store.

From now on, Google Play Store will not list devices and if you made a purchase at play store, the same data will be transfered to the new website. The design of the website looks simple. Those in India though have limited choice of hardware. There is no Pixel, no Nest, no accessories (could be available soon).
