Honor EMUI 8 : Check warranty and Find Service Center

Its a headache to find the list of service centres. Sometimes, the internet would be slow, sometimes, its hard to find the right website to find the list of service centres. What if you are not connected to the internet and you need to find service centre? Honor EMUI 8.0 comes with a built-in list of service centres that can be used to find a service center in your region. In this guide, we help you get used to the HiCare application that contains all details w.r.t service and warranty. We have compiled a few guides for EMUI 8.0. Head to this page to see the full list of guides. Also, do not miss our “Recommended Smartphones” list that contains best smartphones for every budget.

Open HiCare application. Accept license agreement etc after going through the details. Select your current location (based on which warranty, service details is created). This application has more features now when compared to previous versions.

Application’s main screen gives you the option to search for what you need. At the top, you have Recommended, Service and Me areas.

If you have Huawei ID, do login using the same from ‘Me’ section. You can also set your devices list and region settings from ‘Me’ section.

From Search window, once you search based on phone name, you get list of top searches, your search history and some pre-listed articles. You can clear your search history by clicking on ‘bin’ shaped icon.

The irony is that one of the pre-listed article types is ‘lag’.

Click on ‘Service’ section to get a list of troubleshooting articles, FAQ pages. Scroll down to see quick service options like ‘Repair service’, ‘smart diagnosis’, ‘customer service’, ‘trade in’ etc.

Click on ‘repair service’ if you think that the phone needs repair and you will be taken to Huawei consumer support page where you can book an appointment.

Click on ‘Service centres’ tab to see the list of service centres.

As of now, smart diagnosis is not working on this phone. Request update is nothing but ‘check OS udpates’.

Service Policy takes you to service policy document.

If you have any doubts, you can go through built-in manuals. The built-in documentation is very good here and will help you with most of the things on the phone.
