HTC U11 Plus is exactly what HTC needs to take on Samsung

Finally, HTC has a phone that can go head-on against Samsung’s Galaxy S8 series. The HTC U11 Plus is the new flagship phone from the Taiwanese premium phone maker and it comes with minimal bezels. The HTC U11, with glossy back, looked stunning but those huge bezels at the front meant that the phone was ignored. As a result, Samsung walked away with a massive chunk of premium Android phone sales for another year. This time, HTC has a solid performer that looks breathtaking to take on Samsung. HTC U11 Plus will be available in Europe, Asia and other markets soon. There is no mention of price and available of the phone in India.

HTC U11 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, the best Qualcomm chipset available right now. The 6″ display has 18:9 aspect ratio and has Quad HD+ resolution. The display is neither IPS nor AMOLED. HTC has continued  to use Super LCD display tech this time too. The massive 3930mAh battery should easily give full day battery life for power users. The downside of this is that the phone weighs 188 grams. As expected, HTC U11 Plus comes with HTC EdgeSense where in you can squeeze the phone to perform certain actions. There is 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Those who need more storage can expand using microSD card.

HTC U11 Plus comes with IP68 rated water resistance. The back shell is translucent. If you are wondering what that circular circuit design is at the back, that one is NFC antenna. Coming to optics, there is a single 12mp main camera with HTC UltraPixel 3 tech (1.4micron pixel). The front camera has an 8mp lens.
