Huawei P10 and P10 plus are now official, announced at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. As expected, the P10 and P1o plus come with Leica camera setup, taking forward the partnership that turned out to be huge hit in 2016. The Huawei P10 is priced at €649 while the Huawei P10 Plus is priced at €699 for 64GB variant and €799 for 128GB variant. Both the phone will be available in Ceramic White, Graphite Black, Prestige Gold, Rose Gold, Greenery, Dazzling Blue, Mystic Silver color options.
Huawei P10 comes with a 5.1″ display protected by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 layer. The body is made of metal and comes in colorful options. The display has a FullHD 1080p resolution which we guess is more than enough for a display that is 5.1″ in size. Also, thanks to this size, the phone fits really well in hand. The top panel that houses camera module (rear) has glass layer.
Huawei P10 is powered by Kirin 960 chip and there is 4GB of RAM to feed data to the chip. The phone will be available with 64GB of onboard storage and users can further expand storage using microSD card slot.
Coming to optics, the rear camera setup of the Huawei P10 is similar to that one on the P9 where one lens has a regular color sensor and the second lens has monochrome sensor. The color sensor has 12mp rating while the monochrome sensor has 20mp rating. Both lens come with f/2.2 aperture and optical image stabilization is enabled for the primary color lens. The front facing 8mp f/1.9 selfie camera also comes with Variable Aperture mode and Huawei has added Leica’s software algorithms to the front side camera too.
Other features of Huawei P10 Plus include front mounted fingerprint scanner, EMUI 5.1 version based on Android Nougat 7, 3200mAh battery with Super Charge support, stereo speakers.
Huawei P10 Plus on the other hand comes with a bigger 5.5″ IPS display with QuadHD resolution. Other features remain mostly the same. Users can opt for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option or 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. Another difference is that the rear lens come with f/1.8 aperture, with laser autofocus. Huawei P10 Plus also comes with a bigger battery rated at 3,750mAh.
