iA Writer arrives on Android, to cost $4.99
iA Writer, one of the most popular writing apps on iOS and OS X, has arrived on Android. The Android version’s beta test begins now, with the final version to be released at a price of $4.99.
iA Writer is known for its focus on distraction-free writing. There are no settings to fiddle with, and while there are a lot of Material Design writing apps out there these days, iA Writer focuses only and only on text. You don’t get any formatting options, no control over the font or the layout of the app itself. If you’re looking for a feature-rich writing app, iA Writer is not for you.
The makers of the app have started a beta testing group on Google+. The first 999 people to join the said group will be offered the app for a price of $0.99, and after the testing is complete, the app’s price will be upped to $4.99. The lucky first 999 users will have to pay only $0.99.
