ASUS ROG G501VW is one of those notebooks that are perfect blend of performance and portability. Among the four laptops that we saw today at ASUS ROG event, this one has the perfect blend of power and usability. Priced at Rs.95,490/-, the ROG G501VW-FY120T is powered by screaming fast 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700Q Skylake process that runs at 2.6GHz and can hit 3.5GHz Turbo speed, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and has NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M graphics card with 4GB dedicated GDDR5 RAM. The metallic design makes the G501VW slim and sturdy. The ASUS ROG G501VW weights 2.06 with 6 cell battery and in the world of gaming laptops, we can call this a feather light ultrabook.

You will not believe how thin this notebook is until you see it. We have seen how big and thick the gaming notebooks are but not this one. The dimension of ASUS ROG G501VW is 38.3(W) x 25.5(D) x 2.06 ~ 2.13 (H) cm and weighs just 2.06kgs.

The G501VW comes with upgraded Hyper Cooling technology  and has separate cooling modules for CPU and GPU. The heat is transferred from CPU and GPU using copper heat sinks and these keep the temperature as uniform as possible across the notebook. The HyperCool technology pushes heat out through the vents near the display hinges and this means hat the heat is spread towards the vents giving gamers cooler keyboard, trackpad and areas where wrist is placed.

The keyboard has red backlight and the WASD keys (used a lot by gamers) is specially marked. The 1.6mm key travel is designed to be perfect for gamers and the trackpad is extra large with fast response. The keyboard is also full sized and has numeric keypad on the right side. ASUS ROG G501VW has a 15.6″ 1080p FullHD IPS panel (giving 178 degree viewing angle) while there is another variant, priced at Rs.1,16,490 and it comes with a breathtaking 4K UltraHD display. The PCI Express x4 SSDs coupled with Intel Thunderbolt technology gives blazing fast boot up and game load times. The PCIe x4 SSD can hit up to 2200MB/sec data transfer speed. If the display is not enough for you, you can connect two external 4K displays to play games.

ASUS ROG G501VW comes with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology with MaxxAudio (professional grade audio processing tool). The ROG Audio Wizard can be used to setup preset audio modes to suit different gaming genres.
