Lenovo announces Yoga tablet 10 HD+

AT MWC 2014, Lenovo has announced Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, a successor to existing Yoga 10 Android tablet. This new tablet will be available from the month of April and entry price will be at $349. Similar to existing model, Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ comes with three different usage modes (Hold, Tilt, Stand). Display is now a full HD resolution display and is powered by 1.6Ghz Snadragon 400 processor, has 2GB of RAM and will come in 16 GB and 32GB storage options (can be expanded via microSD card slot). Though the specs are improved, Lenovo managed to squeeze 18 hours of battery life out of this new tablet. The bummer though is that Yoga 10 HD+ comes with Android 4.3, not 4.4 KitKat. We do hope that Lenovo quickly updates Yoga HD+ to KitKat.

Key Specification:

  • Android 4.3 JellyBean
  • 10.1″  1920×1200 FullHDdisplay with 10 point multitouch
  • Quad core Snapdragon 400 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB/32GB storage, microSD card slot
  • 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front facing camera
  • Dual front-facing speakers, Dolby audio
  • 802.11 b/g/n; Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB port
  • 9000mAh battery
  • 615 grams, 261mm x 180mm x 8.1mm

“Customers have told us they love the YOGA Tablet for its clever design that gives them a better way for all the different ways they use tablets,” said Jeff Meredith, vice president, marketing, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo. “Now we’ve created the new YOGA Tablet 10 HD+ to give consumers the ultimate multimode tablet experience, packing it with premium technologies from a gorgeous screen to faster processor to user-centric software.”
“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Lenovo to deliver premium mobile experiences with superior battery life,” said Luis Pineda, senior vice president of business development, mobile computing, for Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “Coupled with the unique design of the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor enables a stunning multimedia experience with HD video capture and playback, HD multichannel audio and seamless connectivity.”
