LG Spirit comes to India for INR 14,250

LG has quietly launched one of its mid-range devices for the Indian market. The LG Spirit has gone live on LG India’s website for a price of INR 14,250. This comes after the company announced the wider availability of four of its devices – Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy. The series doesn’t follow any particular sub-brand, which is a bit weird.

The LG Spirit comes with a 4.7 inch HD display. At a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, the pixel density of the Spirit stands at ~312 PPI. This is an IPS LCD unit, so expect quality to be good enough. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is being used to protect the display.

On the back, there is an 8 MP camera with an LED flash. Also present are the power and volume buttons, something that has caught the fancy of LG since the LG G2. On the front, there’s a 1 MP camera for your selfie requirements. The Spirit comes with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box with LG’s custom skin on top.

LG has used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor or a Mediatek MT6582 quad core processor, which will be used depending on the model that LG is selling. The LTE version will have the Snapdragon 410 processor whereas the 3G version will come with the Mediatek processor. Apart from that, there is 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card. A 2100 mAh battery will keep the device powered on for a major part of the day.

Although the MRP of the LG Spirit is INR 14,250, the best buy price is already at INR 13,690 according to an Indian retailer. It sounds like a good price given the specs. Availability will be clear next week.
