Li-Ning team up with Xiaomi to create smart shoes for runners

China’s Li Ning Co Ltd, maker of athletic shoes and sporting equipment has announced that they are working with Xiaomi to design and produce new gen smart running shoes. Li Nang has been struggling for a while and their growth has been in red. With this partnership, Li Nang is hoping for a revival. This is indeed a first ever collaboration between sports and smart technology brands in China.

Smart chips designed by Xiaomi will be placed in the sole of Li Nang running shoes. A mobile application will need to be loaded on Xiaomi’s phone that will be used to keep track of progress and results, analyze and create charts and monitor achievements.
