Microsoft release Lumia 535 dual SIM variant in India

Microsoft has today officially announced the availability of Lumia 535 smartphone in India. Lumia 535 in India will be dual-SIM variant and will cost Rs.9,199. Powered by quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, Lumia 535 comes preloaded with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. Lumia 535 comes at a time the entry level smartphone market is bomarded by quality phones like Redmi 1S, ASUS zenfone 5 and Motorola Moto E and it will be interesting to see how Lumia 535 sales will be in these emerging markets. Lumia 535 and Lumia 535 Dual SIM will begin rolling out to key markets in November and will be available in bright green, bright orange, white, dark grey, cyan and black.

“Lumia 535 comes with our ‘5x5x5’ proposition,” said Jo Harlow, corporate vice president for Phones at Microsoft. “Innovation should be available to everyone, and we are doing this through the very best integrated Microsoft services included and out of the box, a 5MP wide-angle front-facing camera, and a spacious 5-inch qHD screen — all at an affordable price.”
