MIUI 10 and Redmi : How to set data limit

Head over to our new Guides portal where you can get access to a massive list of guides, organized in a Wikipedia like format. This same guide is available at MIUI 11: How to monitor and set data limit.

Cellular data is something heavily rely on these days, unless you are using one of those 1GB or higher daily data limit plans. Setting up warning and cut off when your monthly data quota is essential to have. In this guide, we guide you to setup data limit on your Redmi phone running MIUI 10. Also, do not miss our “Recommended Smartphones” list that contains best smartphones for every budget.

Do note that this is for plans that have monthly data limit. We will update this guide once Xiaomi adds daily data limit option that other phone makers have already added (Oppo, Vivo etc).

Go to [settings] > [SIM card and data networks] > [set data plan].

This article is garbage.

On my European Redmi 9T; using Miui 12.0.5 you can no longer get to this setting via: Settings/SIM card and data networks, instead you’ll have to go through the built in Security App, then down to Data usage.
