Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G now available for INR 7,999 after a INR 2,000 price drop

Xiaomi has slashed the price of the Redmi Note 4G by 20% after its rival Lenovo launched the K3 Note at a price of INR 9,999 a few days back. The Redmi Note 4G will now be available for INR 7,999 on Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, The Mobile Store and Mi.com.

This news comes in after Xiaomi slashed the prices of the Mi 4 16 GB by INR 5,000, selling it at INR 15,000. The Mi 4 64 GB version also saw a big price drop of INR 4,000, now retailing at INR 20,000. The competition may be forcing Xiaomi to reduce the prices of its phones, but the Mi 4 was always priced higher than what the market was ready to pay for it.

Here’s a look at what you get with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G for INR 7,999:

  • Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 6 on top
  • 5.5 inch IPS LCD display, 720p resolution, 1280 x 720 pixels
  • 1.6 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU
  • 13 MP camera, LED flash, 1080p recording at 30 FPS; front facing 5 MP camera
  • 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card
  • 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio
  • 3100 mAh battery
  • INR 7,999

The specs are brilliant for the price, and now Xiaomi has the entry level, the lower budget range, the upper budget range, and the mid range covered with the Redmi 2, Redmi Note 4G, Mi 4i, Mi 4 16 GB and the Mi 4 64 GB.
