Realme 1 with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM, launched at Rs 13,990

It is without any doubt that Xiaomi’s Redmi line up of mobiles is dominating the market. They are on brink of gaining a supreme monopoly of the mid-range segments of mobile. Mobile manufacturers are feeling the heat and they are gearing up for some stiff competition of Redmi mobiles. In the year 2018, Redmi Note 5 Pro will be the mobile to beat and we already saw Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, aimed at this task. Now Oppo has joined the race with a new sub-brand called Realme. That is the most obvious brand name anyone can come up. But unlike the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Realme wants to fight the war on design and pricing.

The Realme 1 has a stunning new design. It has the looks of Oppo F7 and is priced very aggressively. Traditionally Oppo mobiles are not cheap, but Realme 1 is a budget-friendly mobile. Here are the key specifications of the newly launched Realme 1

The mobile will be available only on Amazon Exclusively. Though it is available in multiple color options, my favorite is the Diamond Cut black.

Why is Realme 1 Exciting?

• It looks very premium and stylish. It does not look like a sub Rs 15 k mobile.
• It is priced aggressively
• P60 processor has proved itself in being a powerhouse but a highly efficient processor.
• This is the cheapest 6 GB / 128 GB combo mobile available in the market
• Dual VoLTE is very convenient
• Dedicated SD card has been an ask of many consumers
• Face ID unlock is very fast, but I wish it had a fingerprint sensor as well.
