Samsung’s weird-yet-unique device, the Galaxy Note Edge, is all set to enter India in a couple of weeks. The Korean company will be bringing the phablet to India in January.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Unveiled in September, the Galaxy Note Edge is a Galaxy Note 4 for the most part, rocking a 5.6 inch QHD display, a quad core Snapdragon 805 processor and a 16 MP camera. What sets the Galaxy Note Edge apart from the Note 4 is the curved screen on the right side – Samsung has added the option to add a few panels, or download more from the Galaxy Apps store.

The specs at a glance:

  • Android 4.4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz on top
  • 5.6” Super AMOLED QHD+ display, 1600×2560 pixels, ~524 PPI
  • 2.7 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU
  • 16 MP camera, LED flash, OIS, 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps recording; front facing 3.7 MP camera
  • 3 GB RAM, 32 / 64 GP RAM, expandable with a microSD card
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Infrared, Wi-Fi Direct
  • 3,000 mAh battery
  • Rs. 64,900

The Galaxy Note 4 is a niche device and the availability will be limited. Samsung has announced that it will be available with two retailers, and the recommended price is Rs. 64,900.
