Poco F1 : How to block app from using cellular data

Time and again, we end up with an application using up too much of cellular data or we may have set of apps that we never use while connected to cellular network. It is a good practice to block these apps from using cellular data as you do not want these apps eat up your data and battery life by running continuously in background. Also, do not miss our “Recommended Smartphones”  list that contains best smartphones for every budget.

Open Security application, click on Data Usage.

Click on ‘Restrict data usage’ menu option.

You will now see full list of applications. For each application, you can set mobile data or Wi-Fi data or both to off/on. You can also select the default option for new applications by clicking on the settings icon in top right corner and selecting the appropriate option.

If the mark is green, data is on. If the mark is red with cross mark in it, data is disabled. Disable data for apps that you do not want to use when connected to mobile data network by tapping on ‘Mobile’ option.

If you want to know how much data is used by each application, go back to Data Usage window and click on ‘Data usage stats’
