Acer announces Aspire V15 E and ES series of affordable notebooks running Windows

Acer has today announced brand new notebook lineup for 2015 back-to-school season, the Aspire V 15, Aspire E series and Aspire ES series. All these new notebooks will come with Windows 8.1 pre-loaded and eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10 when it launches later this year. Acer Aspire V15 will be released in North America in August with a starting price of $599. Aspire E series will head to NA in July with starting price of $349 for 14″ models. The E series supports high speed 802.11ac wireless standard with Qualcomm’s MU I EFX MU-MIMO tech which will allow multiple users to access the same channel, increasing efficiency for multiple clients. According to Acer and Qualcomm, this is the first notebook that comes with MU-MIMO functionality.

We’re pleased to be working with Acer on this important industry first.”

Built for work and fun, all of the new notebooks support 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet providing up to ten times faster transfer rates than traditional 10/100 Ethernet ports.

Aspire V 15
Aspire V 15 comes with aluminum top cover for high durability and has a textured metallic finish that oozes quality. The keyboard is a backlit chiclet style keyboard and this adds to the premium feel of the notebook. Aspire V15 is powered by 5th generation Intel COre processors and has NVIDIA GeForce 940M graphics chip and this ensure smooth gaming, video/photo editing tasks. Users can add up to 16GB of RAM and upto 2TB of hard drive storage or 1TB of SSD can be selected. Thd display is a FullHD display and V15 comes with DVD-RW drive with M-Disc support.

Aspire E Series
The new Aspire E Series come in 14″ 15.6″ and 17.3″ display form factors and feature textile pattern on the cover to give unique look and feel. Acer has adopter bold and bright colors for the E series. E series is powered by latest Intel CPUs and come with NVIDIA® GeForce® 940M series graphics with dedicated DDR3 VRAM or AMD Radeon™ R8 and R6 dual graphics, up to 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD/ 1TB SSHD storage options.

Aspire ES Series
The Aspire ES Series comes in 11.6″ to 17.3″ display sizes and will cater to full range of buyers. This is for those who are price conscious and is powered by Intel Pentium/Celeron processors and users can add up to 8GB of RAM. There is 1TB of hard drive storage and the DVD-RW drive is optional add-on.

Pricing and Availability
The new Acer Aspire V 15 will be available in North America in August with prices starting at US$ 599, in EMEA in July with prices starting at €699, and in China in June with prices starting at ¥4,699.

The new Acer Aspire E Series will be available in North America in July with prices starting at US$379 for 14-inch models, in EMEA in May with prices starting at €349 for 14-inch models, and in China in April with prices starting at ¥4,199 for 14-inch models.

The new Acer Aspire ES Series will be available in North America in July with prices starting at US$229 for 11-inch models, in EMEA in June with prices starting at €249 for 11-inch models, and in China in April with prices starting at ¥2,299 for 11-inch models.
