Belkin Thunderbolt Express dock is available now for $299
Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock is one of the most anticipated Thunderbolt accessories in this year. The dock comes with a variety of ports to connect to and you can access upto eight desktop devices using just one cable (connected from dock to PC). The dock has 2x Thunderbolt ports (one to connect the dock to PC/laptop and one to connect thunderbolt device to the dock), 3x USB 3.0 ports, 1x Firewire 800 port, 1x Gigabit Ethernet port, 1x audio in and 1x audio our port both of which are 3.5mm ports.
Users can connect upto five Thunderbolt devices in daisy chain formation to the Thunderbolt port and given that the port supports upto 10Gbps bandwidtch, you need not worry about any drop in speed for these devices. Given the steep price, Belkin has clearly targeted this device at those who use premium desktops/notebooks and handful of accessories are swapped regularly or the desktop/laptop does not have enough number of ports to connect the peripherals/accessories to.
