Nexus 7 16GB available in India via Google Play Store for 15,999 INR

Nexus 7 is among the highest selling tablets in USA and Europe and this much wanted tablet is made available for users in India via Google play store. The price of 16k INR is reasonable given that the tablet comes with a quad core SoC and 1GB of RAM. Do note that Nexus 7 is purely a content consumption device and not a content creation device. Do note that there is no memory expansion slot and there is no rear camera.

The pros of Nexus 7:

• Great battery life (8 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of e-reading/web browsing, 300 hours standby time)
• Android 4.2 JellyBean
• 7” 1280×800 HD IPS panel display that oozes quality and has accurate color reproduction
• Great collection of applications and millions of e-books available for download/purchase

The cons of Nexus 7:

• None removable battery and non-expandable memory
• No rear camera
• 16:9 aspect ratio on  a 7” tablet is not exactly good. once the onscreen keyboard pops up in landscape mode, it takes up majority of screen space
• No TV Out functionality (yet)
