YouTube announce new website for artists to go to next level
YouTube for Artists is a great new site that is designed to help artists take their creativity to the next level. The website contains tips on how to be more visible, how to engage with fans, guide to make money on YouTube among many things. The site is now live and can be accessed here.From this site, artists can learn how to promot shows directly within YouTube videos, using the new cards functionality, artists can have fans contribute money to his/her channel using Fan Funding. YouTube team has setup sections that help artists eye for charting on Billboard, getting airtime on major radios in France and free production resources at YouTube Space locations across the globe.
One great feature that is currently a ‘work in progress’ is the ability for artists to see where their fans are located at city level, total number of views from official music videos and fan uploads (through ContentID). YouTube team has also announced YouTube Music Awards for the year 2015 where they will pick top 50 artists at the the YouTube Music Awards channel. Some of the winners and emerging arists will do special video performances that will be available for viewing on March 23 @10am PT.Source
