Onkyo NCP-302 multi room wireless speaker announced
Onkyo NCP-302 is a new multi room wireless speaker from the pioneer in making audio equipment. NCP-302 will be available in White and black colors. There is no information on what the price will be and from when the wireless speaker will go on sale. NCP-302 supports wide range of audio formats and offers variety of options to stream audio.
Onkyo NCP-302 has two 3″ woofers, a 1″ tweeter. The cabinet is made of wood. The top panel has direct access keys to control music, volume. Users can also use ethernet and 3.5mm audio input to allow wired connections to home audio network. NCP-302 supports wide variety of options to stream wireless audio. These include FireConnect™1 and Play-Fi®2, Google Cast, AirPlay. NCP-302 also supports Bluetooth audio playback. Users can use Onkyo Controller application available on iOS and Android to control audio playback to NCP-302.
Onkyo has provided built in support streaming music services like Spotify, Pandora and Tidal 2. The future of audio is wireless for sure and this was evident in Apple, LeEco, Motorola going without 3.5mm audio jack on new smartphones. House wide wireless audio is getting more and more popular. Brands that master this will rule home audio setup in the future. Its good to see that brands like Onkyo are taking wireless home audio seriously.
Onkyo has also announced Onkyo RZ series of A/V receivers (11.2 channel TX-RZ3100 Network A/V Receiver and the 9.2-Channel TX-RZ1100 Network A/V Receiver, as well as the 11.2-Channel PR-RZ5100 Network A/V Controller).
