Meizu Pro 6 Plus Launched With 5.7 inch Quad HD 3D Touch Display

Meizu has launched a new flagship smartphone in China. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus, announced earlier in the week comes with a 5.7 inch Quad HD display and features a new 3D Press technology. Succeeding the Meizu Pro 6 which was launched earlier this year, the Pro 6 Plus also features the Exynos 8890 SoC with an octa-core processor. It’s worth noting that the Meizu Pro 6 also featured a 3D Touch display.

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus features a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, resulting in a pixel density of ~515 PPI. It also comes with 3D Touch technology and features Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest version of Flyme OS on top.

Apart from the Samsung made Super AMOLED display, the Pro 6 Plus also features another core Samsung part – an octa-core Exynos 8890 processor, with a Mali-T880 MP10 GPU. The phone also comes with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 or 128 GB UFS2.0 internal storage.

In the imaging department, you get a 12 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, Laser Autofocus, Phase Detection Autofocus, Optical Image Stabilisation and a dual tone 10 LED ring flash. The rear camera comes with a 1.25μm pixel size and supports 4K video recording.

The phone features a 5 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Other features of the Pro 6 Plus include a mTouch2.1 fingerprint sensor on the home button in the front. It also comes with a heart rate sensor and an infrared sensor.

Connectivity features include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 3.1 port with a Type C reversible connector and NFC. The phone is powered by a 3400 mAh battery and comes with mTouch 3.0 fast charging support.

Pricing And Availability

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus has been priced at CNY 2999 for the 64 GB version, approx Rs. 29850 or $435. The 128 GB version of the phone has been priced at CNY 3299, approx Rs. 32800 or $480. The phone will be available in Champagne Gold, Sky Grey and Moonlight Silver color options. Meizu has started accepting orders for the device, and it will go on sale in China on December 3. Wider availability details are not known yet.
