[CES 2015] Lenovo release external flash, fitness band and new smartphones at CES

At CES 2015, Lenovo announced new phones powered by Android. Lenovo P90 is the first smartphone powered by 64-bit Intel Atom processor and Intel XMM 7260 LTE-Advanced modem, Vibe X2 Pro is a limited edition phablet and Lenovo also announced an interesting accessory, VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash. Also announced is VIBE Band VB10 wearable fitness accessory with e-ink display. P90 will be released in February 2015. Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro, VIBE Band VB10 and VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash will be released to market in April 2015.

VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash is a different kind of accessory, something that we have not seen before. As the name suggests, this is a pocket sized external flash for camera that can be connected to 3.5mm audio jack. There are 8 diffused LEDs that are connected to the ring and provide extra light for natural color tones that help much better in low light conditions. Once fully recharged, Flash ring can create 100 flashes with 100% shutter sync. Best part is that you can rotate the ring so that you can take great looking selfies in low light conditions.

Lenovo P90 is the first smartphone powered by 64-bit Intel Atom processor and Intel XMM 7260 LTE-Advanced modem. Display is 5.5” in size and has FullHD resolution. A 4000mAh battery should provide enough battery power for the smartphone to stay alive for a day. The rear camera has a 13mp sensor and has optical image stabilization that helps users get clear looking photos and there is a 5mp front facing camera. The front facing camera comes with gesture controls and beautification features that add a bit of fun to photos. The P90 will be offered in Pearl White, Onyx Black and Lava Red color options.

VIBE X2 is definitely one of the best smartphones released in the year 2014. Today, Lenovo has announced VIBE X2 Pro limited edition smartphone that is built using same layered design that made VIBE X2 popular. VIBE X2 Pro has a 5.3” FullHD display attached to a lightweight full metal body. The phone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core processor that provides great battery life and performance. VIBE X2 Pro runs Android operating system and has VIBE 2.0 user interface (overlay UI), a personalized lock screen, instant on camera, transparent icons etc. There is a 13mp auto focus camera at the rear and a 13mp front facing camera. Both cameras support gesture controls and beautification features and support Lenovo’s VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash accessory.

VIBE Band VB10 is a brand new wearable band from Lenovo that comes with E-ink display and provides amazing battery life. With display and bluetooth always turned on, VB10 will provide battery life up to seven days. Thanks to the E-ink display, the display visibility is superb under direct sunlight. Users can get notifications for calls, SMS, facebook, twitter, wechat and more.
