Xposed Framework supports Lollipop finally
If you’re an Android enthusiast and poke around the XDA forums, you’ll probably be aware about a framework called Xposed. Xposed allows you to change a lot of things about your Android phone’s software with the help of Xposed modules. Until now, it didn’t support Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It took me a lot of nudging to live with Lollipop without my favourite Xposed modules, but today, that changes. The developer of Xposed who goes by the username Rovo89, had teased about this release a few days back. Most of the modules don’t work on Lollipop yet, but according to him, it shouldn’t be a lot of work for the module developers.
As a user, there are a few things you should be taking care of. First, you’ll need root, of course. A custom recovery is also needed – TWRP is recommended although CWM should be fine as well. But before you poke around this release, perform a Nandroid backup in the recovery before you flash the framework zip.
