Xiaomi Mi Mix Comes With An Edgeless Display For $515
Apart from the Mi Note 2, Xiaomi Mi Mix was the second smartphone to be launched by the company today. The Mi Mix is a concept phone according to Xiaomi, and it comes with a huge 6.4 inch edgeless display. Building on the Sharp Aquos concept, Xiaomi announced that the Mi Mix comes with a screen-to-body ratio of a whopping 91.3%. The phone looks glorious in real life as well. However, it may never land in India.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Specs
The Xiaomi Mi Mix comes with a custom made 6.4 inch IPS LCD display. It comes with a screen resolution of 2040 x 1080 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of ~362 PPI. The Mi Mix’s display is different than other phones’ – not only does it cover up almost all of the space on the front, it also comes with an odd aspect ratio of 17:9. This can get a little annoying in most apps with media playback.

The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. Snapdragon 821 is a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 820. On the memory front, you get two versions – 4 GB RAM with 128 GB UFS 2.0 storage and 6 GB RAM with 256 GB UFS 2.0 storage. There is no support for microSD cards on the Mi Mix either, just like the Mi Note 2.
Coming to the cameras, you get a 16 MP camera on the back along with dual LED flash. The rear camera comes with EIS digital stabilization for videos up to 4K resolution. It also comes with a 3-axis gyroscope for improved jitter compensation. On the front, you get a 5 MP camera.
