Hasselblad V1D is a wierd looking concept camera

Hasselblad V1D ‘4116 edition’ is a concept design digital camera that doest looks like a miniature version of ancient camera. The V1D is a 75mp square format Camera made out of solid block of aluminum and fixing on four sides. The Hasselblad V1D brings lot of modularity so that you can add modules (like viewfinder, grip, round fixings for controls etc). Hasselblad has also announced X1D 4116 editions compact mirrorless medium format camera, a first such camera in the world.

The X1D ‘4116 edition’ is a stylish evolution of the medium format camera and we are very excited to be introducing it into the ‘4116 collection’.”

The Hasselblad V1D 4116 concept camera is a simple square shaped box and the design resembles the iconic Hasselblad V that were released in 1954 and the series was alive till 2013. Modular approach is one of the fundamental principles that Hasselblad followed when designing the V1D. The top and back surfaces can carry modules that cover entire surface like display, viewfinder, holders etc. The left hand side and right hand side have round fixing for controls and grips. So, if you want  a top down view while taking the picture, you can move the display to the top and take photo. If you want the grip on left hand side, you can move the module to the left side of the camera.
