Immersive listing comes with Play Store 5.4

Google demoed a really good looking immersive mode of the Play store during its Lollipop demoes last year. While users have been waiting for a lot of those mock ups to materialize (welp, no pun intended), Google has started working on bringing them to real life now.

With the latest update to the Play Store, v5.4, Google is pushing out an immersive view of Play Store listings. In practice, it looks even better than in pictures. The status bar will be completely transparent on devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop or later only, as of now.

If you have a smartphone running Android 5.0 Lollipop or later, you will notice the different it makes after you receive the update. The hero images, or banners, will move up, taking up the space in the status bar. You should probably see at least one line more as a result. Even otherwise, this looks great.
