Toshiba Canvio Aerocast wireless HDD comes with Chromecast support, battery and SD card slot
Toshiba has announced the availability of Canvio Aerocast wireless drive, a hard disk drive that can connect to Chromecast using Google Cast ready application. Priced at $219.99 for 1TB, the new drive is available for purchase. Thanks to this integration, users can store huge content of multimedia on the hard drive and access the same on HDTV. Canvio AeroCast comes with built-in battery that lasts upto five hours on a single charge. Aerocast drive can simultaneously connect to six devices and this makes sharing content between devices easier. This HDD also has a SD card slot for those who need more storage or want to share the content on the SD Card (photos taken using camera or phone etc) to TV or to others. We do think that, given the extensive feature list, for $219.99, this is superb value for money.

Toshiba has also announced Canvio Cast wireless adapter that can be connected to existing hard drives and turn them into wireless hard drives. Canvio Cast will allow upload, share, download and stream content on hard drive over wireless network. Canvio Cast is compatible with iOS and Android devices. Priced at $79.99, Canvio Cast is now available for purchase from retail stores.
