ABB’s YuMi, the dual arm robot at Make in India Week

YuMi is a industrial grade robot, which can collaborate with human workers and help them with better productivity and accuracy. YuMi has a wide range of applications. It has soft padded arms, non-pinching design and safe joints with sensors all around. Its arms have a wide range of motion, giving it flexibility and agility to work in high speed assembly lines. Unlike the tradition single arm robots, YuMi has a human like reach. Its small form factor enables the YuMi to be installed in existing workstation without the need for much modification. It has a plug and play design which can operate with 100-230 volt power points.
With the Make in India initiative, robots like YuMi can enable the Indian industries achieve better productivity and international standard quality. YuMi can be employed by any industry.
