No need for MIUI 11, get these amazing Android 10 ROMs for your Poco F1

One of the painful aspects of owning an Android phone is that wait for OS updates. Few weeks ago, Xiaomi announced that Poco F1 will get update to MIUI 11 between 22nd of October and 31st of October. Though there are truckload of features listed in MIUI 11, many of those are only for newer phones with AMOLED display or full screen display.

If you want to get real taste of Android 10 onn Poco F1, you need not wait for MIUI 11. You can instead get one of these 3rd party Android 10 based ROMs. Please do note that you may brick your phone and make it unusable when during this process. Try this at your own risk and you cannot hold anyone else responsible if you end up bricking your phone.

Pre-requisites to installing 3rd party ROM

  1. Download given ROM and GApps nano package.
  2. Go through the relevant ROM thread in XDA Developers and understand what issues you may face and how to fix them if you can fix them.
  3. Backup all data on your phone.
  4. Upgrade to latest stock ROM for your phone. In case of Poco F1 global, 10.3.8. You can also download just the firmware here.
  5. Unlock bootloader. Follow this guide to unlock bootloader.
  6. Flash TWRP recovery tool.
