Mi BunnyXiaomi has launched a smartwatch for kids. It is named as Mi Bunny and priced at CNY 299. It is listed on Mi.com and is currently available in China only. Xiaomi last month announced that it would launch its smartwatch for adults in the second half of this year.

The Mi Bunny includes GPS/Glonass connectivty. This will allow parents to keep a track of their children. It also comes with Bluetooth and WiFi. It has a SOS button for panic situations. When the button is pressed, the smartwatch will start recording audio and send seven seconds of audio along with the location of the child to the parents smartphone.

The watch is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.2 JellyBean and above, as well as iOS 8 and above. The smartwatch supports voice calls and comes with an embedded SIM card. Up to six family members’ contact information can be saved on the Mi Bunny. This will allow kids to make and receive calls to and from these contacts for free.

Apart from monitoring the child’s location, parents can also set a predefined “security zone”. If the child leaves the security zone, they will receive a notification.

The Mi Bunny is powered by a 300mAh  battery, which Xiaomi claims will offer six days of standby time and two days of regular use. The smartwatch will be available in Blue and Pink colours.
