Nubia Z11 mini with 16 MP camera unveiled

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, ZTE has announced the launch of its new Nubia-series smartphone, the Nubia Z11 mini. Nubia is a sub-brand of ZTE. The device is priced at CNY 1,500 ($230/€205).

The Nubia Z11 mini is powered by 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 200 GB via a microSD card. The device sports a 5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D glass

The device sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298  sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, phase-detection autofocus, 3D noise reduction and LED flash. This is the same sensor that is being used in the Xiaomi Mi5, OPPO R9 Plus, and the Huawei Mate 8. The device also has a 8-megapixel front camera for selfies with 1.4µm pixels and f/2.4 aperture.

The device has a metal frame and is available in Black, White and Gold color variants. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is powered by a 2800mAh battery.

The Nubia Z11 mini is a dual sim device and comes with DTS sound and a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G and VoLTE support.

Pricing and Availability

The Nubia Z11 mini will go on sale in China this month for CNY 1,500. It is available in Black, White and Gold color options.
