The V20 is another unique offering from LG. The phone comes with a dual display setup – the primary 5.7 inch Quad HD display offering you the regular feature-set. However, there is a secondary display on top of the primary one, displaying notifications and dynamic shortcuts. It reads complex in theory, but the feature is pretty simple to understand and use in real life.
Coming to the rest of the hardware, you get the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The phone comes with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB UFS internal storage. Despite some other devices with UFS skipping microSD card support, the V20 continues to support memory cards. You can expand the internal storage up to 2 TB with a microSD card.
Talking about the cameras, the phone comes with a dual camera setup – 16 MP f/1.9 primary camera with OIS and an 8 MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. Dual LED flash assists the rear cameras. The rear cameras have all three auto focus mechanisms (Laser AF, Phase Detection AF, Contrast AF) and this makes focusing on objects extremely quick. V20 chooses either Laser AF or PDAF based on subject and environment and combines with Contrast AF to refine focus.
The front facing camera is a 5 MP camera with 120 degree wide angle lens that allow more subjects to be included in selfies.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Dual band support, DLNA, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Infrared and a USB Type C port. The phone is powered by a 3200 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
