AVG released the Android App Performance & Trends Report for Q3 2015 recently highlighting applications that impact the user experience on the operating system the most. The report by AVG included its list of the most battery-draining, as well as the data and storage consuming applications. The data includes more than a million devices from all over the world, showing which apps consume the most data volume, storage, and battery life.
The AVG Android App Report Q3 2015 also has a number of lists including the Top Apps Run at Startup and by Users, Top Games, World’s Greediest Mobile Apps, Top Storage Hogs, and Top Ten Data Traffic Hogs. Let’s look at the battery drainers.
Top Ten Battery Drainers Run at Startup:
The Android Firmware Updater is the leading battery drainer at startup and is followed by the Beaming Service for Samsung, Security Policy Update, ChatON (Voice & Video Chat), Google Play Services, Facebook, BBM, WhatsApp Messenger, Weather & Clock Widget Android, and WeChat. All of these apps run automatically at startup.
Top Ten Battery Drainers Run by Users:
These are the apps that are rub by the users. This list is topped by Samsung WatchON (Video) and followed by Snapchat, Amazon Shopping UK, Microsoft Outlook, BBC News, Netflix, Line, Clean Master (Boost & AppLock), Walmart, and Amazon Shopping (Global).
