Dell releases XPS 18 is 18” AiO that is also a tablet

Dell has today announced a new All in One computer, XPS 18. Instead of making an All in One that is bulky and is another iMac lookalike, Dell designed XPS 18 to look like a tablet and this means that you can actually close the stand and carry XPS 18 where ever you go (which we think is good on paper but highly impractical to do). Similar to a tablet, XPS 18 comes with internal battery to keep it running. The good thing is that XPS 18 runs full fledged Windows 8 instead of Windows RT. After the oversized phones (phablet), looks like we do have a new product line filled with oversized tablets that are used more like desktops (sony vaio 20, Asus transformer AiO).

We do not have the specification list yet but this is what we know as of now:

• 18.4” touch screen
• Intel® Core™ ULT processors
• Less than 5 lb
• Windows 8
• Optional keyboard and mouse
• Optional SSD built-in
• Front facing camera
