Google I/O will take place on May 18-20 this year

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced that the company’s annual I/O developer’s conference has been scheduled for May 18th to May 20th in Mountain View, California, at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. In a tweet, Pichai said this will bring Google’s major event back “to neighborhood where it all started 10 yrs ago.”

Google hosts the I/O conference each year and makes developer-centric announcements, such as details about the next version of Android, Chrome OS and other important announcements. Every new version of Android has recently been unveiled at I/O – and in the last two years this was followed by a developer preview. We assume this will also happen in 2016.
