The Nokia D1C smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The D1C is reportedly going to launch in two variants, and going by the preliminary specs leaks, it looks like the phone will be a budget smartphone aimed at getting marketshare initially.

The Nokia D1C will launch with two display sizes – 5 inch and 5.5 inch versions with full HD resolution. Apart from that, there will 2 GB and 3 GB RAM variants with 16 GB internal storage and microSD card support. Additionally, you will be offered 13 MP and 16 MP rear camera versions, while the front camera is said to be fixed at 8 MP. Powering the smartphone will be the proven Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 405 GPU.

Additionally, the former industry leader is also prepping a high end Android smartphone. Nokia is said to be readying a device with a 5.2 or 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a metallic unibody design and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. We can also see the phone launch with Carl Zeiss optics, something that we often witnessed in Nokia smartphones back in the day.

More details about the first Nokia Android smartphones are expected in the coming days. Nokia will be launching these smartphones in partnership with HMD Global, the official global licensee with rights to the Nokia brand for the next 10 years. Mobile World Congress 2017 will be held in Barcelona starting on February 27.
