Lenovo Zuk Edge Launched With 6 GB RAM, Snapdragon 821

Lenovo has announced yet another smartphone featuring the Zuk branding. The new Lenovo Zuk Edge is the latest flagship smartphone from the Chinese giant. It features the latest quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC and a whopping 6 GB RAM. The phone has been announced in China, but it is expected to be launched in other markets subsequently. Lenovo has priced it starting at CNY 2,299.

Lenovo Zuk Edge Specifications

The Zuk Edge comes with a 5.5 inch full HD TDDI display. The 5.5 inch LCD unit with a 1080p resolution gives you a pixel density of ~401 PPI. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat update with ZUI 2.5.

In terms of the processing power, the Zuk Edge comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, the latest generation of flagship SoC available from Qualcomm. The graphics are handled by Adreno 530 GPU. In terms of memory, the phone comes in two variants – 4 GB and 6 GB RAM. The phone comes with 64 GB internal storage that cannot be expanded with a microSD card unfortunately.

Coming to imaging, you get a 13 MP rear camera with a Samsung ISOCELL sensor. The rear camera comes with an f/2.2 aperture, a hybrid of Phase Detection Autofocus and Continuous Autofocus and an LED flash. It comes with an 8 MP camera on the front.

The device comes with a U Touch fingerprint sensor that is embedded inside the glass. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. It comes with a blood oxygen heart rate sensor, UV light sensor, pneumatic altimeter and gyroscope, apart from the other usual sensors. It is powered by a 3100 mAH battery.

Pricing And Availability

Lenovo has priced the Zuk Edge at CNY 2,299 for the 4 GB variant and CNY 2,499 for the 6 GB variant. Wider availability details are not known yet.
