Oppo today unveiled a brand new Android smartphone from its Neo series which includes devices like the Neo 5 and Neo 5s. The Neo 7 has just been made official with a price tag somewhere below $200. The new device runs Oppo’s Color OS 2.1 (based on Android Lollipop), and has a mirror-like finish on the back.

The Oppo Neo 7 sports a 5-inch TFT LCD display with a pretty low pixel resolution (540 x 960). It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. It has 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, and microSD card support. It features a 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The company listing touts that the Neo 7’s screen lights up to brighten selfies in low light condition which is possible with a light-sensitive sensor that can adjust the screen brightness according to available light.

It weighs 141 grams and measuring 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55 mm, the Oppo Neo 7 has a 2420 mAh battery. The smartphone comes with a reflective back panel in either Black or White with a silver or golden frame. It has a 3G and a 4G variant.

Pricing and Availability:

The Oppo Neo 7 will launch first in India two days from now on October 28, with countries in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East and North Africa as well as Mexico to follow some time later. It will cost somewhere below $200.
