Samsung launches Gear 360 camera

At the Samsung Developer Conference 2016, Samsung has confirmed that it’s going to release the Gear 360 camera. The Gear 360 camera was released along with  Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge.

It comes with two 15-megapixel f/2.0 fisheye lens cameras, IP53 certification for dust and water resistance. The camera will capture high-resolution 360-degree videos (3840×1920 pixels) at 30 frames per second along with still images at 7,776 x 3,888 resolution(30-megapixel).

The Gear 360 camera allows you to capture 180-degree wide angle videos and images by only one side of the camera lens. It features Bright Lens F2.0, which according to Samsung, can create high resolution images in low-light conditions as well as allow users to create full panoramic videos.

To use the Gear 360 camera, users require an application which can be downloaded  from the Galaxy Apps store or Google Play. It is currently compatible with  the Galaxy S7, S7 edge, S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note5.

The camera has been released in South Korea and has been priced at KRW 399,300.
