Rovio, in particular, has issued a statement that says that only the Chinese build of Angry Birds 2 is infected by XcodeGhost. That should come across as a relief to its worldwide users and the company itself. However, the very fact that XcodeGhost was successful in going undetected by Apple’s stringent checks is of concern. On the developers’ part it reeks of sheer incompetency and negligence, putting their properties and their users at risk.
