All that we know about new Apple iPhone 2018 lineup
Apple iPhone Xs, the prime model wont see much of a change but there will be more. Today, Apple is going to unveil new iPhones. We are expecting major changes to iPhone lineup. In this post, we list out all possible changes to the upcoming iPhone lineup. Read on to know!
Dual SIM card slots
Yes, according to leaks of SIM card tray, the new iPhone (atleast one model) will come with dual SIM card slots. This is very much necessary as we have seen many iPhone users carry a second phone and it is cumbersome to carry two phones when one can easily live with single dual-SIM phone (Android). As per leask, the least priced variant will be coming with two slots.
Three models
Named iPhone Xs, iPhone Xr or Xc, iPhone Xs max, we will see three models, each differing in features and size. All three will come with iPhone X like design. While iPhone Xs will come with similar 5.8″ display, the Xs Max will have a massive 6.5″ display. The Xr/Xc will come with 6.1″ display and in multiple colors. This phone will come with lower amount of RAM and single rear camera. Also, the display panel could be a LCD panel. Top two models should come with AMOLED displays, 4GB or more of RAM, next generation chip, 5G wireless support.
Colors are coming back
The iPhone Xr/Xc will come in multiple color options. If this turns out to be a success, we may see more color options available in the future. The Xc will come with slightly lower specs when compared to prime models. Possible colors include white, black, red, orange, blue, gold, yellow, pink.
Not much of change for X successor
iPhone Xs will be the successor for iPhone X. We will not see much of visual difference between iPhone X and Xs. There will be a bump in internals, with a new poewrful next generation chipset and possible 5G support.
Note competitior
The iPhone Xs Max will go head on against Samsung Galaxy Note series and other phablets. This one will be an interesting fight to follow. Xs Max may be priced at around $1,100 and out of reach for many.
Huge storage for Apple iPhone Xs and Xs Max
We should see 512GB of top end storage option and we may see 128GB minimum storage for top two models.
Others
We expect to see Gorilla Glass 6, much bigger batteries, faster wired and wireless charging. Do not expect to see inclusion of headphone jack, that ship has sailed. Move to Gorilla Glass 6 is meant to make phones more sturdy and shatter resistant. All three phones will support FaceID.
