Apple-1 sold for $905,000 at an auction in New York

The first pre-assembled computer from Apple Inc, the Apple-1 was sold for $905,000 at an auction in New York last wednesday. That is the same price that you pay for nearly 350 27″ iMacs (2014 variant). This particular Apple-1 desktop is one of the first 50 that were assembled by Steve Wozniak in garage owned by Steve Jobs in California in the year 1976. Initial expectation was to fetch maximum of $500,000.

This Apple-1 was purchased by Henry Ford ogranization. “The Apple-1 was not only innovative, but it is a key artifact in the foundation of the digital revolution,” Henry Ford President Patricia Mooradian said in a statement.
